Swine Flu Info Center (H1N1flu)

This info center contains resources for up-to-date information on the swine(H1N1)flu. MCH will continue posting new information here as it becomes available.

The symptoms of swine flu are similar to seasonal influenza, including fever, sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, chills, headache and muscle aches, and fatigue. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please contact your primary care physician’s office.

To protect yourself:

  • Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand cleaners
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. This can spread germs.

Try to avoid close contact with sick people. The flu is thought to spread from person-to-person through coughing or sneezing.
